NOTICE
Re-opening
of registration centres that did not open for 14 days during phases one to
three
The
Malawi Electoral Commission is informing the general public that it will
re-open centres that, for one reason or another, did not operate for the mandatory
14 days during phases one to three of the voter registration drive.
The
Commission wishes to inform the general public that from now on, any centre
that fails to open due to similar reasons will have an extension at the end of
phase.
The
Commission is also informing the public that only those that are eligible to
register in these centres but failed last time should go and register. Those
who already registered need not to do it again as this is a serious crime that
attracts a maximum penalty of K500,000 or two years imprisonment in default.
The
